EASY POTATOES FOIL PACKET RECIPE

Ingredients

4 medium-sized potatoes, washed and thinly sliced
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon dried rosemary
Salt and pepper to taste
Optional add-ins: grated cheese, chopped bacon, chopped herbs

Instructions

Preparing the Foil Packets:

Tear off four large pieces of heavy-duty aluminum foil, approximately 12×12 inches each.
Place an equal portion of the sliced potatoes, onion, and minced garlic in the center of each foil piece.
Seasoning the Potatoes:

Drizzle olive oil over the potatoes, onion, and garlic.
Sprinkle dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper over each foil packet.
Wrapping the Foil Packets:

Fold the sides of each foil packet over the potatoes, creating a sealed pouch.
Make sure the packets are tightly sealed to prevent any juices from leaking out during cooking.
Cooking the Foil Packets:

Preheat your grill or campfire to medium-high heat.
Place the foil packets directly on the grill grates or on a campfire grate.
Cook for 20-25 minutes, flipping the packets halfway through, until the potatoes are tender and cooked through.
Serving the Potatoes:

Carefully open the foil packets and transfer the potatoes to a serving dish.
Garnish with optional add-ins such as grated cheese, chopped bacon, or fresh herbs.
Serve hot and enjoy!
