MONTEREY SAUSAGE PIE

Ingredients

1 pound Bulk Pork Sausage
3 teaspoons Minced Garlic
2-½ cups Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese, Divided
1-⅓ cup Milk
3 whole Eggs
¾ cups Biscuit/baking Mix
¾ teaspoons Rubbed Sage
¼ teaspoons Pepper
Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Sausage

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish.
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bulk pork sausage until browned. Drain any excess fat.
Step 2: Add Aromatics

Add minced garlic to the browned sausage, sautéing for an additional minute until fragrant.
Step 3: Layer with Cheese

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the bottom of the greased pie dish.
Spoon the cooked sausage and garlic mixture over the cheese.
Step 4: Prepare the Batter

In a bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, biscuit/baking mix, rubbed sage, and pepper until well combined.
Step 5: Pour Over Sausage

Pour the batter evenly over the sausage and cheese in the pie dish.
Step 6: Top with More Cheese

Sprinkle the remaining 1-½ cups of shredded Monterey Jack cheese over the top of the batter.
Step 7: Bake to Perfection

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the pie is set and the top is golden brown.
