FRENCH ONION DIP

Ingredients

1 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 tablespoons olive oil
2 large Vidalia Onions or yellow onions finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 dashes Worcestershire Sauce
1/2 tablespoon chopped fresh chives or Italian parsley

Instructions

Melt butter and heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the onions, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper. Cook over low heat stirring every 3-4 minutes until the onions are a rich brown color; approximately 30-40 minutes. Allow to cool.
In a medium bowl mix together the sour cream, mayonnaise, and Worcestershire Sauce. Fold in the cooled onions. Garnish with chopped fresh chives or chopped parsley. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
