Light, airy, and buttery! These classic Nun’s Puffs are a delightful pastry with a crisp outside and a soft, custard-like center. Simple ingredients, big flavor, and an irresistibly fluffy texture!
Ingredients:
1 stick butter (½ cup)
1 cup milk
¾ cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs
½–1 tablespoon sugar (optional)
Sugar for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners or lightly grease it.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add milk and bring to a boil.
Quickly add the flour all at once, stirring vigorously until the mixture forms a smooth dough and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes.
Beat in eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. The batter will become smooth and glossy.
Stir in sugar if using.
Spoon batter evenly into prepared muffin cups, filling each about ¾ full.
Sprinkle tops with sugar if desired.
Bake for 30–35 minutes or until golden and puffed.
Let cool slightly before serving. Best enjoyed fresh and warm!
Tips:
Don’t open the oven during baking or the puffs may collapse.
Optional: Drizzle with honey or dust with powdered sugar for a sweet finish.
Perfect for brunch, tea time, or a light dessert!
